With so many tips on how to improve your golf swing, you will get confused which one to follow. Some even have more than 5 tips to remember and it is surprising that these people are able to swing the club at all. If you had enough of listening from your 25 handicap playing buddies, take note of these things that are effective in improving your game.
First, figure out what you are doing wrong. Yes, that sounds incredibly obvious, but many players have no idea why they are consistently missing to hit the ball. The good news is that there is only one thing you have to fix-not 10. Many players have the mistaken notion that they need a perfect motion, and in order to achieve that they work on 10 things at once. However, fixing one aspect of your game is often more than enough to produce extraordinary results.
The problem is identifying what you are doing wrong. To accomplish this, you want to have somebody video tape your swing. It can be very difficult to know what you are doing wrong without either taking a lesson, or seeing your motion for yourself. The reason is, you often feel like you are doing one thing, but in reality you are not. Therefore, seeing yourself on tape can really help show you problems you would have missed without seeing them.
If you don?t like video recording your swing, then you can go for another option you?re your problem is having the tendency to slice which is common to many players then you can do a couple of things to correct it. You can tighten grip, close stance by pointing both toes in, and bring club back more straight back contrary to outside.
If your problem is on hooking, then you should open your stance, loosen the grip and add more strength on your swing. Lose your grip a bit to also help you improving your swing. Do not be tense; just relax when standing over the ball as it can help fix your swing faults.
But you should apply tips one at a time whatever your problem is in your game. Do not try to do tips simultaneously. Concentrate on one tip and check if it is effective. If it isn?t, then go to the next tip.
Thus, there are numerous ways in improving your golf swing. Power bands and the like that you may see featured on Golf Channel might help you, but it is not recommended to depend on them so much. Choose to get a visual record of your swing by a video to check what is wrong. Then, you can also resort to the mentioned tips.

Try These Two Drills And You Will Drive The Golf Ball Longer

Golfers love to hit the ball a long ways. We see PGA Tour pros hitting 300 yard drives and want to be like them. This article will tell you how pros hit the ball so far and help you hit it farther yourself.
When trying to maximize distance a golfer needs to remember which clubs are designed to be hit far and which clubs are designed to be hit close to the hole. Generally, the five iron through the wedges are intended to be hit accurately and close to the hole. On the other hand the longer clubs are designed to hit the ball long distances.
Two factors determine how far the golf ball goes. How fast was the club head moving through impact? How solid did you hit the ball on the club face?
The first thing golfers need to remember is to strike the ball solid to create distance. A club that is moving at 110 miles per hour is not going to result in significant distance if it is not contacting the ball on the center of the club face. Solid contact always results in greater distance than a glancing blow.
A quick drill to ensure solid contact is to place masking tape on the face of your club and hit a few shots. The masking tape will provide immediate feedback as to where you are contacting the ball on the club face. To ensure the greatest amount of distance attempt to contact the ball on the middle (or sweet spot) of the club face.
Use the following as a guide to better contact:
1. If the contact is low on the face, you are trying to help the ball into the air. Hit down more on the ball to compress the ball and make it fly farther.
2. If contact is on the toe, your club is getting closer to your body through impact. Place a tee in the ground just inside your golf club at address. Hit some shots where you hit the golf ball without hitting the tee to the inside. Try the opposite if you are hitting the ball off of the heel.
The second factor in how far you hit the ball is club head speed. Golfers often get anxious and excited and try to hit the ball really hard from the top of the backswing. The result is a club head that is moving faster to start the downswing than through impact.
A quick fix is to hold your driver near the club head and make some practice swings. Pay attention to the sound of the club, the noise will be loudest when the club is moving the fastest. To hit the ball great distances make sure that the club is loudest through the hitting area. This will help you make sure the golf club is accelerating through impact.
The feedback provided by these drills will help you drive the golf ball farther.

How To Drive The Ball Farther

Hitting long off the tee, is a wonderful thing. If you want to be able to connect on that perfect drive, there are many things in your swing, that have to be done correctly.
When working on adding distance to your drives, do not lose sight of the fact, that accuracy is just as important. Of course all golfers want to hit the ball far and on target. You can accomplish this too.
You will not hit perfectly straight drives, all the time. Most golfers will hit a natural fade or draw. So, when we say straight, we mean pretty close to where you wanted the ball to go.
Also, when we say far, this could mean different things to different people. Far is a relative term, 125 yards my be long to you. To others, 250 yards is there measuring stick. Now, let’s see how we get get you more distance and accuracy on your drives.
First, lets’s start with your set-up:
One of the most important aspects of your swing, is your set-up. Pick a target, and align your body to it. Bend at the waist and bend your knees slightly. If you are a right hand golfer, you need to place the ball roughly 4 1/2″ left of center. Take your proper grip. Relax, and let your arms hang below your shoulders.
Now, let’s take a look at swing speed:
There are too many golfers, who simply try to swing to fast. Slow your tempo down, on your backswing. At the top of your backswing, hesitate for a couple of seconds. This will let you to start your downswing with your hips leading the way. An increase in clubhead speed, will add distance to your drives. This is accomplished by using your whole body when you swing. Your arms, legs, shoulders and hips must all work together and meet at the point of contact.
The next topic is balance:
Balance is key, if you want to hit your drives farther. Staying balanced is vital and it all starts with your set-up and swing tempo. If you swing too hard, you will lose your balance, as well as distance and accuracy of your drives.
Work on your accuracy first, before trying to gain more distance.
Hitting the ball really far into the the trees, will do you more harm than good in most cases.
Check with your local golf pro to identify and work on any problems they may see.

Can You Trust Golf Reviews ?

Reading golf reviews would have to be limited to those who have a particular interest in the sport of golf and are wanting to buy a golfing product on the recommendation of a person with expertise on the subject or alternatively you have a purpose to for golfing information.
Using a Golf Review To Purchase Products
Often when considering a purchase, it can be quite daunting and confusing due to the generally large number of product options available from many sources. How do you actually know what a certain product is really like form a screen shot on your computer or from a glossy magazine. The product sellers are certainly biased to their own particular product for obvious reasons and we are all bombarded with information about every product available which again can be very confusing. The recommendations of friends and colleagues are often more useful but again usually contain some bias towards their particular favorites or needs. Product reviews are not without their own bias and of course there are good reviews which are well researched, unbiased and have integrity, just as there are product reviews that will not reach these high standards.
Seeking Information From a Golf Review
You may, for whatever reason, be researching the market for relevant information to use for a particular project you have. You want to be able to rely on good information, well researched and thorough and up to date with current trends. Usually you will find that a good golf review will hand out a lot of useful information and a number of free golf tips and golf techniques that you can genuinely use for your particular purpose, not the least of which is lowering your golf score. This free information is naturally designed to build some trust and loyalty with the reader, which of course is the point, because if the reader finds no use or no credibility to the golf review then they will not continue to read, thereby eliminating the purpose of the review in the first place. The trouble, of course, is that there is so much information available it is a bit tricky winding your way through it all to find the good stuff that is actually of some use to you.
So What Does All This Mean For You ?
In a nutshell, a good golf review is a very useful source of information for a number of differing reasons. Yes, the end result is often the need to make a sale but this should not stand in the way of you being able to determine whether the golf review is credible and worth listening to. Either way any good reviewer is happy for you to use the information offered, if it helps you in your cause, even if it does not result in a sale, because all good things that go around will inevitably come around. Once you have ascertained that you can trust what you read, then you may need to make the leap of faith to using the product or information, knowing that it comes with the recommendation of a credible expert who genuinely has your best interests at heart. No good reviewer will be in the business just to shonk you or rip you off. Why bother, there would have to be easier ways.
Of course, I am one of those reviewers. Believe it or not !

Golf Swing Lesson For Beginners
July 23, 2010 by Tatrianna Haworth
For beginners when you say golf swing lesson, I bet they are already tense thinking what kind of golf stance and golf club grip they are going to use before launching their very first swing. Relax, it’s not that difficult to learn. I have noted below a few lessons that you need to know, such as…
Golf Grip – This is the main factor that can affect your swing. Before starting make sure to check your grip, is it becoming hard, slick or slippery? If not then you are set to go.
Golf Stance – having good balance and a relaxed stance is good for swinging. It’s probably not going to be as good as you want but it helps if you are throwing the facets of the game.
For a good stance, start with placing the inside of your foot just ahead if the ball. The front and back feet should be shoulder width apart. Next, bend at the top but keep your back straight and then bend slightly at the knees.
Tip: your knee cap is directly above the balls of the feet. The angle of your back should be about 45 degrees and then your arms hang straight down from the shoulder. Keep your feet align every time that you go to swing.
Back Swing – you coil up your body and then you create the muscle torque needed to release a strong downswing. This resistance is made between the turning of the upper body and shoulder.
Tip: don’t go in a hurry because it won’t make it go any faster. Just keep tempo and take your time. Take a couple trial swings before hitting the ball.
Release – this when you’re about to hit the ball. You aren’t able to make the impact by yourself. Your swing should reach momentum to execute it effortlessly and will result in a great shot.
Really you want to square the clubface through the impact of rotating the right forearm or left if your left handed. After the impact, your arms should be extended fully as the lower part of the body rotates to the left while the club remains on the target line. The arm passes your body through the impact zone and your head should remain behind the ball.
This isn’t a position that you just know. You have to learn to let it happen automatically.

Perfect Golf Swing – Pre Shot Routine For All Golfers
July 20, 2010 by Olivia Anderson
The following is a nice little trick to maintaining a smooth unforced golf swing that was borrowed from the baseball world.
In the space of one evening I saw two separate shows and something clicked when I saw a connection between the two. The first show was about a baseball charity event where some famous players were being interviewed at a charity golf event – turns out that a lot of baseball players enjoy golf. In the interview, one player mentioned how some of the baseball players are naturally long hitters of a golf ball.
So, two hours later, highlights from the PGA tour were being shown and it showed Miguel Angel Jimenez doing his pre-shot routine on a fairway drive. What got me was that he used a baseball style swing, with the club head a good one to two foot above the ground (at the bottom of the swing). It looks like he uses it to ‘groove’ the swing – i.e. to find his rhythm.
I’ve been using Miguel’s baseball style drill as part of my own pre-shot routine and it definitely encourages a coiling motion around the core muscles and a smooth transition from back swing to down stroke.
Why Does This Work So Well?
While a baseball swing and the perfect golf swing may be dissimilar in many ways there are some key elements relating to how powerful shots are made that are similar:
- Both require a strong stable stance around which the rest of the body pivots.
- The stomach muscles are the powerhouse of the swing. As the body pivots it is essential that the back swing ratchets up the stomach muscles and that the hips start the transition from back swing into the down swing.
- Tense muscle groups inhibit the coiling ability of the body which reduces the power of the swing. By doing a pre-shot drill (loosely swinging the club without the club impacting anything) it encourages a loose swinging club path.
The perfect golf swing cannot be attained over night but one thing is certain – using a golf swing that is constrained and fails to use the core muscle group will not deliver the full amount of power to a golf swing. Performing the baseball drill is a simple pre-shot routine to relax the muscle group and establish a groove to your golf swing.

Golf Swing Analysis: Be A Great Golfer Today!

An amateur golfer never finds him or herself lacking in terms of getting golf advice. The problem is is that sometimes the coaching given is not appropriate, or perhaps even more tragically not possible. Some other times, the newbie may not even comprehend the advice given! Cue the application of golf swing analysis.
To correct yourself, you first need to discern how you are currently playing the game- i.e. how you are swinging your golf club. Secondly, you must then compare your technique with that of golf gurus to further understand the problem. Be that as it may, do note that each star player possesses their own unique swing, hence it may be difficult should you wish to emulate all of them at one go.
For example, we would like to mention Tiger Woods, Retief Goosen, Vijay Singh and Davis Love- all of which have their own discrete style on the green. It is common that common folk have observed these masters exhibit their flair for golf, and it is even much more expected that there are those who venture into golf with the simple dream of emulating their golf idols. Do not despair should the golf swing analysis find you completely deficient in similarities with your favorite pro golfer.
Instead, do keep in mind that all golfers start with getting the basics of golf right. This means that before you covet your own style of playing golf, you need to first master basic lessons such as having the proper posture and grip on your ball. Use the golf swing analysis with an open mind and open yourself to studying your own body rather than feeling frustrated over how impossible your objective is.
The good news is that you can also study in detail how pro golfers implement golfing basics into their signature moves. Do be advised however that it is highly inadvisable to copy another player’s swing technique. This is mainly because each player has varying physical and vital stats hence, what may work for them may not work for you.
And now we will look at the benefits and problems of subscribing to the golf swing analysis. The nice thing about video tutorials is that we can slow down or rewind the lesson until you understand the subject matter. However, this is only beneficial if the video succeeds in translating how to swing the right way.
Besides that, the golf swing analysis should also be programmed to advise you on the variety of stances one can apply depending on the situation. After having taken the shot, the software must also supply an analysis of the shot with specific details on the error. Essentially, the golf swing analysis needs to notify you the problem as well as tell you the solution to the problem.
In conclusion, the golf swing analysis is powerful because it enables the golfer to locate the swinging error and correct it. For more help on golf techniques, do check out The Simple Swing. This e-book also teaches the player to face the mental as well as physical challenges on the green.

Golf Swing Trainer: Perfect For Pro Golfers!

Golf looks easy to the naked eye. The objective of the game is simply to hit the golf ball into the holes- in other words; you wouldn’t need a golf swing trainer just to do that, would you?. However, most of the time the ball never goes where you want it to go. Once in awhile, you may find yourself in despair as you lag behind the other better performing golfers. With this despair comes mortification and frustration as you realize that your ball will never enter its designated hole. In short, golf looks too easy for anyone to play- but everything else about it is plain hard work.
A good swing is insufficient to help one win the game. A good swing should be coupled with brawny torso muscles in order to achieve the perfect swing. The golfer should also possess great timing in order to maximize the full potential of the swing.
If you have the money to burn, hiring a personal golf trainer would be great. For the more economical, there is the golf swing trainer. This training equipment helps the golfer train the actual muscles needed to execute a great golf swing.
The repetitive movements when using the golf swing trainer will be fixed into your muscle memory, thereby allowing the golfer to subconsciously activate these muscles during an actual swing. For this reason, it is very important to frequently exercise on your golf swing trainer. One tip on integrating the golf swing trainer into your daily life would to actually plan ahead and set dates on when you intend to use this training equipment.
Specifically, the golf swing trainer should be used at least 2-3 times per week. Following that, you should also prep your muscles by practising on the equipment for about 15 minutes before the start of a game.
Basically, a golf swing trainer has to fix your bad swing habits. Hence it is very essential that you first try the equipment prior to purchasing it. During the exercise, your body should be in a comfortable position as well.
A convenient way of looking for your ideal golf swing trainer would be to log on the Internet. There, you can already gauge prices, added features as well as shipping rates. It is also important that you should take your time to avoid buyer’s remorse.
Economically speaking, the golf swing trainer is cheaper relative to hiring a personal trainer. However, this is true only if the consumer earnestly utilizes the equipment. For more tips on perfecting your golf swing, we highly recommend that you check out The Simple Swing e-book.

Swing Jacket: Perfect For Pro Golfers!
July 4, 2010 by Felipe O. Mccoy
A swing jacket is more than a fashion accessory. It is a tool, a kit with the goal of helping the golfer correct his or her swing- hence the name “swing jacket”. In retrospect, while it is possible to manually alter your swinging style, one may also unintentionally harm oneself by doing so- hence the creation of the swing jacket.
The swing jacket is designed such that it minimizes the movement of one’s arm during a swing. It is advisable to consistently practicing swinging the golf club while wearing the jacket because the swing jacket can also improve your muscle memory. This means that the more often you wear the jacket, the more natural your muscles will feel when conducting a good swing.
Then again, there are skeptics who wonder about the practicality of putting such a prominent jacket out in public. This is understandable as the swing jacket is not exactly fashion forward, despite it being very big and bulky. Furthermore, common folk would not understand the purpose of the swing jacket, [thereby]hence even further isolating the trainee.
Despite this, it is also a good idea to practice some muscle exercises to supplement your jacket wearing routine. Generally, muscle exercises are always highly recommended because it means that you are improving your strength as well as your flexibility. Wearing the jacket often enough while implementing muscle exercises also means that ironically, the user will soon be able to harness the ability to swing spectacularly without actually wearing the jacket.
The swing jacket will also ensure that the posture of your body is correct during the turning of a swing. This means that your body will never ever turn itself when taking a swing. Your aims will also be closer to the body, rather than having it spread away from the chest.
Additionally, reviews from peer golfers have stated that the swing jacket contributes to the elimination of hooked balls. The swing jacket can also aid in fixing golf slicing problems- although it is debatable that the act of slicing a ball has many contributing factors. It is also generally agreed upon that the swing jacket has a lasting effect on a player’s golf skills.
Unfortunately, the swing jacket also includes some issues. The swing jacket is expensive at $99 but it does come inclusive of a training video as well as a carrying case. There is also the humiliation of wearing a bulky, slightly uncomfortable jacket for a long time.
A cheaper alternative to the swing jacket would be to begin with The Simple Swing e-book. While it cannot physically steer your muscles into the right form, The Simple Swing does provide golfing advice in simple language. Furthermore, The Simple Swing also prepares the reader for the challenges of the sport physically as well as mentally.
