If you are new to playing golf, then you must be having a hard time mastering all the skills needed to become a better player. First off, you have to remember that being a good golf player does not happen overnight. You have to really work hard to become one. And as much as possible, spend more hours playing on a golf course and learn more golf tips as you go along.
First, you have to remember that in order to win a golf game, you need to have the lowest score. Unlike in other sports, here you have to go through the 18 holes and get the lowest score instead of the highest. To achieve this, you should have basic knowledge about so many things including the types of clubs used and the different shots.
Okay, so what are the different golf clubs used? These include the woods, the irons, and the putter. For greater distance, you need to use the woods, while for shorter distance and Hazards, you need the irons. Now, how about when putting and finishing the hole? Well, as the name suggests, you should use the putter.
Let’s go to the different shots. You have the tee shot, the approach shot or feel shot, and the putts. The tee shot is often referred to as the opening shot. The approach shot, on the other hand, is used to play from outside the green into the green. Meanwhile, the putts are used once the ball is in the green.
